Announcing a new book: The Christbearer
Exploring the connection between the Mandalorian and Christian saints.
Attention Star Wars fans — I’m excited to share a project with you that I’ve been working on for the last few months.
Today Voyage Comics announced a new book just in time for the highly anticipated third season of The Mandalorian.

The Christbearer: Exploring the Connection Between the Mandalorian and Christian Saints is available for preorder NOW!
Here’s a brief summary of what you can expect from this exciting new collection:
Jon Favreau captivated the world with the debut of his Mandalorian series, and while he likely never intended it to be overtly religious, or to infuse it with Christian symbolism, the extremely popular television series has many remarkable parallels with two specific Christian saints. Many have recognized in Din Djarin, the series’ titular character, similarities to St. Christopher, while others have found echoes of Jesus’ foster-father, St. Joseph.
In this short book, Voyage Comics presents a selection of articles that explore the inspiring Christian themes that can be found in The Mandalorian, as well as a collection of Christian stories and legends that visualize this connection more concretely.
I was an assistant editor on this book and I wrote one of the original essays! I’m so pleased that we were able to bring this wonderful project to fruition as an unofficial companion to Din Djarin and Grogu’s ongoing adventures in a galaxy far, far away.
Be sure to check out the really cool preorder bundles on offer as well as our previous book of essays, Tolkien & Faith.
